The Founder

Bogoljub Urošević Crni (1911-1992). A visionary, builder, founder and the first director of Thermal Power Plants “Nikola Tesla”. One of the authentic successors of Tesla’s creative legacy.

As the director of the Electric Power Distribution of Serbia (1955-1965) he initiated the construction of power plants and their connection into a system by means of power line network, starting from HE “Der-dap”. He personally supervised the construction of the first thermal power plant in Obrenovac, its later extension, as well as preparation of generations of experts who will manage it with top quality. He is also behind the construction of two powerful unit's in TPP “Nikola Tesla B”... As a sign of gratitude and remembrance, his statue is still standing at the entrance in TENT A, in the street in Obrenovac that carries his name.
