A NEW MONTHLY RECORD AT TENT B1

Unit B-1 in the Thermal power plant “Nikola Tesla B” produced 449.352 MWh of electric power in March, which represents a new record at monthly level. Despite the two recorded outages from grid, both of the largest power units in the Balkans met 105 percent of their monthly obligations for this period.

 

The director of TENT B, Goran Lukic, said on this occasion that this production result was expected, despite the occasional technical problems, regarding the fact that the given criteria with the aim to increase capacity, energy efficiency and environmental protection measures, are generally fulfilled. Besides, the consumption of fuel oil is significantly reduced as well, by around 40 percent compared to the previous year, Lukic said.

 

The operation of both units will continue until mid-April when the one-month overhaul of unit B-1 begins, and the overhaul of unit B-2 will start a month later.
