Extensive works in duration of 180 days

Revitalization and overhaul of the unit A-3 TENT A, in Obrenovac, will begin on 1 July 2014, and last for 180 days, after which, this unit will be connected on the grid with increased installed power from 305 MW to 328,4 MW. Also, after realization of this project, unit three will have greater operational reliability, extended service life, increased energy efficiency, as well as, lesser negative impact on the enviroment during future operation; it was stated yesterday at the kick-off meeting of management of CE TENT and contractors and suppliers of equipment, who will be engaged in this work. Project's value is 80 million EUR, funds are provided by PE EPS and CE TENT, and more than 30 local and foreign companies will be engaged in its relaization. Time schedule predicts finalization of all works by 31 December 2014, and starting of the unit A-3 operation by 1 January 2015.

Regardless of the complexity of works that require full engagemet of all participants, maximum coordination and fulfillment of all deadlines, they don't expect major problems in realization of this project since experienced professionals, who have already proven their skills on similar projects, are engaged in this project, according to Mr. Milan Petković, deputy director of CE TENT. He reminded everyone that this area has recently been affected by catastrophic floods and asked present contractors and suppliers to provide necessary hygienic conditions for all participants involved in this activity, during works on the unit  A-3, so as to increase security and safety of all workers.

- This is the third unit on TENT A that will start its operation with increased power after revitalization, which is highly important in this moment since there aren't any new capacities in Serbia, said Mr. Mihailo Nikolić, director of TENT A and project manager of revitalization and reconstruction of the unit A-3.

Basic parameters of this project, which is divided into nine LOTs, organizational scheme of the leading team and time schedule of project relization, were presented by Mr.Sveto Dobrijević, head of the project of LOT 1-5 and 9. Mrs. Sonja Filipović, deputy of the head of the project of LOT 1-5 and 9, has presented regulations which define mode of behaviour, communication and organization of complete project, so it can be completed successfully and within deadlines.
