A group of young volunteers from the United States and several European countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Montenegro, Netherlands, Spain), visited today Power Plant "Nikola Tesla" A in Obrenovac. Through short informative film and discussion with experts, the visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with basic information about CE TENT and to see on site how electricity is produced in Serbia in a modern, environmentally friendly and socially responsible way, during a tour of the facility.

Otherwise, young volunteers are participants of international volunteer camp, which is organized during summer and autumn by Obrenovac Youth Office, under the auspices of the city municipality of Obrenovac. In the previous months they helped  clean and renovate public spaces, schools, kindergartens, libraries, parks, playgrounds, sports fields, as well as the most seriously damaged, elderly households. Especially important are their conversations with citizens to whom, in addition to physical assistance, they have provided verbal support to return to normal life as soon as possible. In addition to work commitments, they visited Obrenovac and its surroundings, and one of the most attractive visits was a visit to the largest power plant in the Balkans. Curious guests, many of whom saw the plant "in the flesh" for the first time, were impressed by the size of the TENT A, and also by the role and importance of TENT in the energy sector of South East Europe.

- Volunteers from this group, which leaves Obrenovac today, helped in the reconstruction of a kindergarten, painting of primary school "Posavski partizani", preparing the ground for construction ... For the past two weeks they made many contacts with the citizens of Obrenovac, to whom they made the return to homes much easier. I think that only by actual work in the field they acquired a realistic picture of how much their involvement in this project was important and valuable. After the first two groups, which have stayed here in July and August, the third and the fourth group is expected in September, and we will try to extend the camps to October as well. The need is there, of course, but the time is running out, as winter is approaching. We will try to help as much as we can to make sure that everyone are in their homes before the cold period and to put as many public buildings back into function, said Adis Milosavljevic, coordinator of volunteer services of Obrenovac Youth Office.
