Education of operational management and technical staff within the project "Analysis of potentials and organized monitoring program and improvement of energy efficiency of EPS in production of coal and production and distribution of electricity and heat" was held today in CE TENT, location TENT A. One-day training was held with an aim of assessing energy efficiency and establishing energy management system (EnMS) in TENT according to conditions of international standard ISO 50001: 2011.

-It is a known matter that Serbia lacks efficiency in many fields, including the energy sector. Energy efficiency should contribute that coefficients of efficiency be better and that practical use of coal, that we burn here, and electricity is of best posible quality. Energy efficiency is most applicable to our boilers because they have so-called "false air" in a rather high percentage, and this reduces efficiency of the boiler. If already at the inlet you have such disorder of efficiency, then it remains, said director of CE TENT Čedomir Ponoćko on this occasion.

Miroslav Tomašević, director of system Improvement of CE TENT, said that TENT is leader in production of electricity , as well as in implementation of standards that apply in Europe and the world. CE TENT, said Tomasevic, already has a quality management system, QMS according to standard ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 - occupational health and safety system, and EMS - environmental management system in accordance with standard 14001, which are components of an integrated management system.

-In order to introduce a new system, energy management, which will have label 50001, this training is the start of education of our employees so that we would enable easier implementation of all tasks, said Tomašević emphasizing that there wll be more trainings in the future.

Consortium of seven members whose leader Electrical Engineering Institute "Nikola Tesla" ad is processing the study on energy efficiency. The participants of the seminar were introduced to the basic elements of the study by lecturers Dr Aleksandar Nikolić (Head of the Study), Prof. Milan Kukrik, prof. Goran Jankes, Mirjana Stamenić, M.Sc. and Slobodan Grkavac, M.Sc.

Emphasizing that a consortium led by Electrical Engineering Institute "Nikola Tesla" will prepare EPS for the introduction of energy management at the company level in accordance with the recently adopted Law on the efficient use of energy, Dr. Nikolic said:

- The aim of today's education is to familiarize operating management of the company "Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla" with legal framework and legal requirements, to see what preparatory works should every corporate enterprise of EPS do in order to prepare timely for the implementation of the Law on efficient use of energy. Of course, there is a part relating to the technical details and the way it is carried out at the power plant, so this is a kind of education that needs to be a preparation for future energy managers and their certification.
