When sudden floods struck eastern Serbia last week, great human solidarity was shown again. Among the first to respond to call to help, on the initiative of the Director Marija Stevanović, were the workers of thermal power plant "Morava". Even the recently confronted with catastrophic floods which caused outflow of Resava River in Svilajnac, Dragan Ljubisavljević, Slobodan Cenić and Milan Mišić gave help to vulnerable residents of Palanka and Grabovice. They pumped the water day and night using TEM pumps capacity of 4000-5000 l/min and 1,000 l/min, with colleagues from other companies, trying to help life return to normal.

Residents of Grabovica, Brza Palanka, Tekija and other places in eastern Serbia faced more severe flooding than what we experienced on May 16. The consequences are devastating, scenes of human misfortune and fate are catastrophic. We tried to help as much as possible in order to improve the situation in flooded areas as soon as possible - says Dragan Ljubisavljević, one of Svilajnac team members, employed at the position of water treatment operator.

According to the Director of thermal power plant "Morava" employees who operate pumps will be changing in the affected area and assist the affected population as long as necessary.
