After finishing the revitalisation of the Unit 3, power has been increased form 305 MW to 328.4 MW, working life has been extended, reliability in operation and energetic efficiency have been increased and conditions for reducing negative impact to environment during the operation of this Unit have been created. All of that was emphasized at today’s ceremony which was organised for this occasion at TPP NT A in Obrenovac. More than 30 domestic and foreign companies participated in realisation of this project worth 78 million Euros.
- Practically, at this Unit two-third of the facility has been changed which says enough of size and complexity of the executed job. Existing turbine has been replaced with the new one with power increase to 328.4 MW which is designed to operate in heating regime, then capital overhaul has been done at the generator where corset is changed and generator rotor is factory repaired. Around 800 tons of pipes and equipment has been installed at boiler facility and 28 422 joint has been welded, and also new version of Siemens control system has been implemented, said Mr Mihailo Nikolić, general manager at the TPP NT and project manager during presentation the most significant phases of the executed works.

- Works at electrostatic precipitators and changing Lnox burners have also finalised with success even there were the most uncertainty. Main effect of executed works we will perceive after the expiry guarantee testing and they are reflected to reduction of powdery substances emission from flue gas below 50 mg/m3 and reduction of nitrous oxide emission below 200 mg/m3, said Mr Ponoćko.
- At the moment the Unit A3 operates at its new nominal loading of 328 MW with nominal parameters. Optimisation new burning system with reduced nitrous oxide emission is in progress. This Unit from February, 6th till now had just one shut down and in general it is completely ready for commercial operation and production of electrical power, said Mr Savo Bezmarević, chief engineer in production department via on line link from control room of this Unit.
In the end, it was emphasized the fact that during 218 working days, at this Unit 34 injuries were registered, where 31 were slight injuries and 3 were serious injuries.
