Yesterday in Belgrade has been open the fifth International Fair of Energy and Environmental Protection “ECO EXPO 2015” in organisation of “Green Eco Planet” and Chamber of Commerce of Green Serbia with support of Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. This event, which was rated as the most precious event in this field in the South-East Europe region, gathered this year the greatest European, regional and domestic companies and organisations, representatives of Chambers of Commerce in region and also the greatest international and domestic experts in the field of ecology and environmental protection. On initiative of Forum Serbia Germany, GIZ project and Chamber of Commerce of Green Serbia as a part of this year’s ecology fair, international conference titled “Circular Economy and Waste Management: Challenges and Perspectives for Republic of Serbia”.

Before opening ceremony “ECO EXPO 2015” national anthem of Serbia “Bože pravde” was performed. This manifestation of ecology was opened by Ms Snežana Bogosavljević Bošković, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, in presence of representatives from Germany Embassy, representatives from some competent ministries of the Serbian Government, members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, City Secretariat for Environmental Protection, numerous exhibitors from country and abroad and great number of journalists.

- The green economy means great investments into stimulation of sustainable production and consumption where country should have significant role. But the country itself is not able to invest great stimulating resources which would ensure short-term transition toward green economy, so that’s the reason why it is necessary to develop public-private partnerships in this field.

Involving all sectors, public, private and civil, using possibilities which we have by opening the process of European integrations, possibilities for finding new solutions and for support to new ideas are opening and they will enable develop or our economy, said Ms Snežana Bogosavljević Bošković. According to her, just building facilities for production energy from biomass, according to calculations, Serbia could replace needs for about 2.5 million tons of oil.

His Excellency, the German Ambassador to Serbia, Mr Heinz Wilhelm said a few words to participants. He represented the country which is a partner in this year’s hair holding.

- The field of environmental protection is very important sector in which Serbia still should adjust to standards required by EU. Fulfilling of these high standards request investing and large financial resources, which again, on the other hand open space for new employment and contribute to economy recovery, said the German Ambassador.

At the Fifth Ecology Fair, tor the fifth time, at its booth, CE TPP NT anticipate again.

- CE TPP NT has been one of the participants at this fair for the fifth time, and during previous period, two times we received recognition “The Green Oscar” which has been awarded by organiser for contribution into environmental protection improvement, which shows that board of management and the whole CE TPP NT itself give a great attention to ecology. We are very dedicated to environmental protection being aware that our facilities endanger the environment and that is the reason why we really make an effort to decrease this influence to minimum, said Mr Milan Peković, Deputy Manager at CE TPP NT.

Mr Peković reminded that during recent revitalisation performed at the Unit A3 were implemented two pure ecology projects. Conditions for reducing powder materials below 50 mg/m2 have been created by reconstruction by reconstruction of electrostatic precipitators. Also, combustion facility reconstruction was done in order to reduce nitrious oxide emission to the level below 200mg/m2 which meets with European standards, emphasised Mr Peković.
