Plaques for achieved results in business

By the decision on awards and recognitions of Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kragujevac for 2014, there were nine awarded business subjects who achieved extraordinary results in business improving and investing.

Yesterday plaques were also awarded to individuals for achieved results in business and among them was Ms Marija Stevanović, manager at TPP “Morava” in Svilajnac.

In the explanation has been stated that Ms Marija Stevanović is the first woman manager of a power plant in Serbia which is a part of the system CE TPP “Nikola Tesla” Obrenovac. She is graduated engineer of technology and with her responsible work, for less than two years she managed to bring the power plant to become profitable. Investing huge efforts, she succeeded to show how you can operate professionally and responsibly without neglecting socially responsible work. It will also stay remembered how during floods in May on the initiative of the Manager a huge support of all employees at the power plant was initiated and they helped all citizens in Svilajnac and other flooded places. With stable and safe operation, Thermal Power Plant “Morava” gave contribution in producing and supplying electrical power. Ms Marija Stevanović was Member of Parliament in National Assembly of Serbia, ambassador for women entrepreneurs within the programme for competitiveness and innovations at European Union, “Success flower” award of The Association of Business Women in Serbia, and she also has great experience in public sector and in private business.

Receiving this value award she emphasised that with qualified, responsible and honest work is always possible to achieve valuable results.
