TPP NT HAS BEEN GIVEN THE AWARD BY RED CROSS OF BELGRADE
Regarding to 8th of May – World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day and 11th of May – National Blood Donor Day, traditional reception for blood donors, campaign organizers for blood donors, representatives of services for blood donors and Red Cross of Serbia yesterday was held at Old Palace. Collective awards of Red Cross of Serbia have been given to the most successful organizations, companies and municipalities in 2014. Awards were also delivered to pupils and students from primary and high schools in Belgrade – participants at drawing and literary competition with the theme “Blood means life” and to authors of the most effective short film about blood donors. Among eight winners (in category organizations, companies and municipalities), CE TPP NT took an honourable place, actually Thermal Power Plant “Nikola Tesla” A in Obrenovac which is one of the most successful in capital city.
In the name of the biggest factory for producing electric power on the Balkans, Mr Vojin Nestorović, Director of corporative affairs at TPP NT received the award. Ms Jasmina Karić, coordinator of Red Cross for blood donors at TPP NT A and PhD Ms Mirjana Domić, specialist for occupational health at TPP NT ambulance station were also in delegation. Mr Živomir Popović, secretary and Mr Slobodan Jović, coordinator of the commission for blood donors represented Red Cross in Obrenovac.
Mr Andrija Mladenović, Deputy Major greeted the participants and said thanks to all employees and voluntaries at Red Cross on everything what they did in last and in previous years as well.
- You have always been in the right place in the right moment and you give adequate help to all people who needs it, emphasised Mr Mladenović. He wished for less turbulent years in future as it was last year (2014) where we had a lot of problems with floods, landslides, snow blizzards…
- During 2014, four blood donor actions were organised at TPP Nikola Tesla A and there were 499 blood donors while we predicted about 340 participants. About 120 of employees have replied to each of our action and among them there are minimum dozens new blood donors and a lot of number of women. All other coordinators at TPP NT B in Ušće, TPP “Kolubara” in Veliki Crljeni and TPP “Morava” in Svilajnac can also be praise by good organisation, above average replying of the employees and growing number of new blood donors. Among employees at TPP NT and PRO TENT, workers of construction companies and pensioners are regular participants in all actions, said Ms Jasmina Karić, who also gave precisions liquid 53 times. Ms Karić emphasised understandings and help of the management and syndicate of TPP NT, as well as support of local government.
Mr Živomir Popović, congratulating to the award also praised good cooperation between Red Cross in Obrenovac and TPP NT which lasts for many years to the mutual satisfaction.
