HUMANITY STRONGER THAN DESTRUCTIVE POWER

Blood donation campaign was held yesterday at thermal power plant “Nikola Tesla” B, which was the first one after terrible floods that hit Obrenovac in May.

There were 100 employees of TENT, PRO TENT and construction companies (out of 108 applicants), and the same number of units of this precious liquid were provided. Among the donors there were 13 women, and 7 participants for the first time donated blood. Despite everything that happened to them (or perhaps because of it) people from Obrenovac have responded to a record number of appeals on the part of organizers and showed their humanity. This was one of the biggest campaigns in the strongest power plant CE TENT, said Nebojsa Dupljak, coordinator of Obrenovac Red Cross at TENT B.

In the opinion of representatives of the Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia, great number of donors is especially important during holiday season when travelling is frequent, and number of accidents is unfortunately increased. Given that there a need for blood reserves of all blood groups increases during summer, the Institute calls upon all citizens whose state of health allows them to donate blood to join as much as possible in voluntary donation.
