CE TENT AMONG PARTICIPANTS OF THIS YEAR’S OHS FAIR “112 ЕXPO”

"112 Expo" International Fair on prevention and emergency response and occupational health and safety, will be held from 23 to 26 September at the Belgrade Fair, under the general auspices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia-Sector for Emergency Situations and the auspices of the Ministry of Labor, Veteran and Social Affairs-Directorate for Occupational Health and Safety.Thirty ninth event, under the slogan "Prevention first", was opened yesterday by Aleksanadar Vulin, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.

Every year in Serbia in average 35 people get injured, every year there are 1000 serious injuries, and minor injuries much more. So, 35 lives a year might have been saved, if we had dealt all together with prevention, if we had done something that would prevent it from happening, if we had done everything to save human life and increase safety of workers. That’s why I ask you, employers, not to see the inspectors as enemies, and investment in security as an expense. That is an investment in you and in your production process and investment in the most precious what we have and that’s human life of employees, said Vulin.

The Minister announced recent and rapid changes in the Law on Occupational Health and Safety, with maximum involvement of the state in this area.

Addressing the audience, Milosav Miličković, State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of the Interior, said that this year's event has great significance for wider public, since the floods in Serbia and the region drew attention to the importance and role of prevention, monitoring, planning and management of all vitally important processes as well as reactions in accordance with the laws and regulations when it comes to emergencies.

The opening ceremony was preceded by an attractive demonstration exercise, carried out by members of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior -Sector for Emergency Situations. The demonstration exercise, with the other participants and visitors was also attended by Predrag Maric, Head of the Sector for Emergency Situations of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior.

Among the many participants of the Fair "EXPO 112" (MI of Serbia, Institute for Public Health "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut", Institute for Biocides and Medical ecology, EPS, NIS, Faculty of Occupational Safety and Health, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering ...), there was also CE TENT d.o.o. Obrenovac, which presented itself the first day of the fair elaborating the topic "Flood as a source of crisis in TENT".

In the effective movie called "Lessons for the Future", which was prepared by the Department of Public Relations and Information at TENT, experts of the largest electricity producer in Southeast Europe showed the chronology and scope of the May floods near Belgrade, with an emphasis on the adverse effects on the productive branches of the company, as well as complete power sector in Serbia. A special segment of the movie explained the operation of the fire and rescue units and employees during floods, sanitary issues and the measures taken after the employees return to their jobs after the termination of rushing water.

Anyway, during the three-day fair, within the commodity groups of fire protection and health and safety at work, exhibition program of 73 direct exhibitors will exhibit around 160 national and international brands and institutions. Conference "112 Workshop" and "Safe and healthy workplace", demonstration exercises, lectures, panel discussions, debates, presentations and workshops will take place in Hall 2 and on the bank of the Sava near Belgrade Fair.
