BEHIND CPTC TPP NT IS ROUGH BUT SUCCESFUL YEAR

Folklore dancers from Centre for the preservation of tradition and culture “Thermal Power plants Nikola Tesla” from Obrenovac, along with Cultural Artistic Societies “Dimitrije Koturović”, “Abrašević” and “Španac” on 12th of December this year, organised humanitarian concert held in Dom sindikata in Belgrade. This show was initiated by association “Obrenovac 2014”, and all income of sold tickets, as it was announced, will be applied to build memorial sculpture, in memory of all victims of floods happened in May.

The choir “Obrenovačke devojke”, which is also the part of the centre, in the beginning of December, guested in Greece, where they were invited by syndicate workers of Greek Electric Power Industry and they participated in prestigious regional gathering “Night of choirs from Balkan”.

Actors of “Poetic theatre”, as well as talented people from acting school where Marija Medenica, actress at Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, is instructor and manager, contributed this year’s successes of CPTC TPP NT. In the end of November, CPTC TPP NT celebrated its 35th anniversary. Despite of disastrous floods, which are the cause why they are “dislodge” from old address, and they are also the cause why their cultural treasure with extremely value costumes are destroyed, all sections of the Centre were active constantly, and it means that this year was very successful for all members and management. The only thing they feel sad is that they had to postpone anniversary concert and that they haven’t performed in front of domestic audience for more than seven months. But, if everything goes as it is planned, by huge help of numerous friends, they will gather again in renovated building of Sokolski dom. In the beginning of 2015, there will be organised spectacular concert for their audience.
