NINTH VETERANS MEETING, TPP NT BUILDERS

Disastrous floods which citizens of Obrenovac and Serbia cannot forget postponed this year meeting among veterans TPP NT builders which, instead in May, happened on 12th of December. Ninth meeting among retired workers and their “followers” started in the TPP NT A, where they laid a wreath at the tombstone dedicated to Bogoljub Urošević Crni, the first general manager of TPP NT and then, it was continued in “Novo proleće” restaurant in pleasure ambience.

This traditional meeting run through in name of jubilee, 45 years of the start to transport coil to damp at TPP NT. Along with Railway transport managers, celebrators for this year were Mr Radoslav Mihailović and Mr Dragoslav Tanasilović, who got appropriate gifts – photographs with RT motives.

Giving thanks for these symbolic gifts, Mr Mihailović and Mr Tanasilović expressed satisfaction that, according to them, for last 45 years Railway transport of TPP NT rose into powerful, modern and efficient system, which follow needs and demands of the biggest electric power producer in South-East Europe adequately. Experienced workers sent the massage to their young colleagues that in the base of those accomplished results stand good organisation, work, order and discipline.

Saying greetings to the guests, Mr Nikola Tomić, manager of Railway transports, stated that this system these days has more than 30 locomotives, over 100 km of tracks and 550 of employees and it represents reliable link in production chain at TPP NT. Except good technical equipment and personal structure, there is one more special characteristic, and that is economic viability.

- Coil transport by railway is incomparable cheaper than with in any other ways. In the last year, for example, transport price per ton (including all costs) were 0.75 €, which is really minimal in regard to 30 km length of tracks, Mr Tomić specified.

TPP NT Railway transport proved during floods happened May that this system can be ready to respond to all needs even in emergency situations, when in only four days this system was rehabilitated for normal operation. This unusual accomplishment presents greeted with applause.

Among numerous guests at ninth TPP NT meeting, there also were Mr Vladislav Močnik and Mr Radoslav Mihailović, long-standing TPP NT managers, dozens in PE EPS Mr Bogdan Đurđević, Mr Krsto Vuković and Mr Dragutin Kostić, former RT managers, Mr Miroslav Sofronić and Mr Ljubiša Vujačić etc…, with whom members of current manager team spent time with pleasure: Mr Milan Petković, deputy manager TPP NT, Mr Vojin Nestorović, director of corporative affairs TPP NT and Mr Nikola Tomić, director of Railway transport with associates.
