Exceed old record 110 days long
Yesterday at TPP NT A in Obrenovac the record in continuous operation of the Unit A2 was broken. With this braking the record, it is thrown off the throne the best result of continuous operation 110 days long till now, which had been gain in 1988. We are talking about unit of 210 MW which its first synchronisation on the grid on electric power system of Serbia was done on September, 29th 1970 and it is one of the oldest units in TPP NT. This Unit (A2) together with six months older Unit A1 will celebrate 45 years of operation this year. From the first synchronisation till now, the Unit A2 has been on the grid over 290 000 working hours and with its operation in heating regime, this unit enables safe and stable supply citizens of Obrenovac with heating energy.
For this year it is planned that this Unit goes into capital overhaul which is going to last 120 days. According to Mr Mihailo Nikolić, general manager of TPP NT A, the overhaul will carried out in period of May, 1st till August, 28th 2015. It is expected that the Unit will significantly improve the result in continuous operation till overhaul starts.
