Representatives of Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs have visited TPP NT

Members of the Committee for assigning National awards in the field of Safety and Health of the Employees (SHE) which has been traditionally awarded by Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs (Directorate for Safety and Health of the Employees) have visited Thermal Power Plant “Nikola Tesla” A in Obrenovac on 17th of April. They were welcomed and greeted by Mr Ljubiša Mihailović, Director for Energy Production at CE TPP NT and Mr Jovan Vasković, head of the sector for risk management with associates.

Reason for their visit is CE TPP NT participation in competition for assigning the Charter “28th of April” for 2014 and on the occasion of marking the International Day for safety and health of the employees and the Day for safety and health of the employees in Republic of Serbia.

- CE TPP NT has nominated for National Award in the field for safety and health of the employees for 2014 and its nomination argued and explained with appropriate documentation. Members of the authorised Committee visited us in order to be ensured on the spot if we fulfil all requirements by improving the system of SHE in previous period for winning this precious award, explained Mr Jovan Vasković.

Mr Ljubiša Mihailović informed three members of the Committee with basic information about the biggest producer of electric power in the region. Reminding that Power Plants of TPP NT (TPP NT A in Obrenovac, TPP NT B in Ušće, TPP “Kolubara” in Veliki Crljeni and TPP “Morava” in Svilajnac) represent one-third of production capacities at PE EPS and produce more than 50 percent of Serbian electric power, he emphasised that in all production facilities at CE TPP NT a huge attention has paid on safety and health of the employees.

After meeting conducted with CE TPP NT management, members of the Committee visited working facilities at TPP NT A as well as facility of Department for risk management at CE TPP NT.
