Group of domestic and foreign students visited TPP NT

Group of students from University of Technology in Berlin and Faculty of Architecture at University of Belgrade has visited TPP NT A today. In the name of TPP NT management, Mr Vojin Nestorović, Director of Corporate Affairs at CE TPP NT welcomed and greeted students and their teachers and professors, emphasising that this is the biggest economic association which produces electric power and here is being produced more than 50m percent of electric power in Serbia each year.

Two films have been shown to the guests. The first film was about CE TPP NT history background and the second one about floods which happened last May in Obrenovac and which threatened facilities at TPP NT A. After watching the films, lots of questions were asked regarding to floods happened last year.

This visit has been organised in the context of cooperation these two faculties which together with GIZ AMBERO participate in project implementation “Strengthen of local land management in Serbia”. This year, Obrenovac municipality as local government has been chosen as a subject to students from both faculties for creating conceptual ideas, which through two master projects offer solutions how cities to be more resistant to natural disasters.

- One of methodological approach is site visit where students have to visit all key points of local community and find out experiences of that local community, gained after last May floods. TPP NT is also one of the parts which we visit here in Obrenovac so we could get answers to these questions in person, said Ms Marija Marun, Associate Professor at Faculty of Architecture at University of Belgrade from Department for Urbanisation. She emphasised that the TPP NT visit is fascinating to all students who, even they come from different countries from all over the world, have never visited such huge facility.

In the end of this visit, students were at the machine hall at TPP NT.
